CLEVELAND, Feb. 22 (UPI) -- The world of sports-entertainment was rocked Sunday as the road to WrestleMania continued at WWE Fastlane.

In the main event, Roman Reigns became the new No.1 contender for Triple H's WWE World Heavyweight Championship when he bested both Brock Lesnar and Dean Ambrose in a grueling triple threat match that pushed all three superstars to the limit.

Reigns was only able to come out on top after Lesnar was weakened by a series of chair shots delivered by Ambrose, who was then caught off guard by a devastating spear.

"HE'S DONE IT! @WWERomanReigns is GOING TO @WrestleMania after hitting the SPEAR on @TheDeanAmbrose! #WWEFastlane," the company wrote on Twitter alongside a photo of an exhausted Reigns following the match.

Triple H will now face Reigns for the title at WrestleMania in April. The COO made his presence known after the match confronting Reigns in the ring flaunting his championship belt.

The Divas Championship was also on the line Sunday as Charlotte defended her title against Brie Bella in a close match that went down to the wire.

The intense rivalry between the two warriors came to a head at Fastlane after Charlotte spent weeks mocking the Total Diva's family after her twin sister Nikki Bella underwent career threatening neck surgery and after her husband Daniel Bryan announced his retirement.

Right when things were looking up for Brie, Charlotte was still able to gain the victory after she impressively overpowered her opponent into her patent submission maneuver, The Figure-Eight LegLock. "AND STILL @WWEDivas Champion...@MsCharlotteWWE!," WWE wrote on Twitter alongside a short clip of Charlotte leaving the ring with her title mocking Bryan's signature Yes! chant.

Other notable matches from Fastlane included Kevin Owens retaining his Intercontinental Championship against Dolph Ziggler and AJ Styles besting Chris Jericho after locking in the painful Calf Crusher.
