LOS ANGELES, Feb. 19 (UPI) -- Rihanna is postponing the launch of her Anti world tour until mid-March shortly after the cancellation of her Grammys performance.

The highly anticipated tour has rescheduled eight dates for performances in San Diego, Houston, Austin, Dallas, Atlanta, Phoenix, New Orleans, Oakland and San Jose, Calif., Billboard reports.

A source in San Jose tells the outlet production delays are to blame for the date changes, which Rihanna's reps confirmed.

While the Anti tour was meant to debut Feb. 26, it will now kick off March 12 in Jacksonville, Fla. All eight of the initial tour dates have been pushed to the end of the tour, with the final show taking place in Atlanta on May 18.

The postponement comes shortly after Rihanna failed to perform her single "Kiss It Better" during the 58th annual Grammy awards on Sunday. The singer cancelled her performance 30 minutes before the ceremony was to begin, reportedly causing a significant shift in the night's musical schedule.

Bronchitis was reportedly to blame for the singer's last minute cancellation. After a run through earlier that day, Rihanna's doctor alleged she was "at risk of hemorrhaging her vocal chords," and called for 48 hours of vocal rest.
