Orlando Brown arrested for alleged domestic battery, drug possession

TORRANCE, Calif., Feb. 18 (UPI) -- Former Disney channel star Orlando Brown was arrested in January for allegedly striking his girlfriend, according to a new report.

Reported by TMZ Thursday, the incident took place while Brown was arguing with his girlfriend inside a police station parking lot in Torrance, Calif.

Law enforcement sources noted to TMZ that they were able to quickly arrest the actor after a witness spotted the couple arguing inside their car.

After initially refusing to leave his vehicle, Brown was taken into custody where he was allegedly found with methamphetamines in his possession. Brown has been charged with misdemeanor domestic battery, obstruction of justice and 2 felonies according to the report.

Brown's last run in with the law happened in August of 2014 when he struck a plea deal and paid a fine after threatening to kill a woman and her daughter. Brown has also been arrested in the past for DUIs in 2013 and 2011, for violating his probation in 2012 and for marijuana possession in 2007.

Brown is known for his role as Raven-Symone's best friend Eddie Thomas on the hit Disney channel comedy, That's So Raven and as the voice of Sticky Webb in the animated series The Proud Family.
