LOS ANGELES, Feb. 16 (UPI) -- French Montana says he and Khloe Kardashian remain close friends despite their split last year.

The 31-year-old rapper discussed his relationship with the 31-year-old reality star in an interview with E! News at the 2015 Grammy Awards on Monday.

"She's good, she's good" Montana said of his ex-girlfriend. "I spoke to her last week. We're great friends. I think we're going to be friends forever."

Montana and Kardashian first dated in 2014 and appeared to temporarily reconcile in spring 2015. The reality star has since dated NBA star James Harden, and remains involved with her estranged husband, Lamar Odom.

"She told me he's doing good," Montana said of Odom, who made his first public appearance since being hospitalized at Kanye West's fashion show last week. "I love the support they have for each other."

Montana and Kardashian sparked reconciliation rumors after they reunited for a night on the town Feb. 8. Sources told People the pair were "super cozy" and still had a "spark," but Kardashian dismissed such reports the day after.

"Just because two people who were involved are seen together, doesn't mean they're back together," she re-tweeted.

Kardashian did tell half-sister Kylie Jenner she's glad she and Montana are still friendly on Kylie Radio this month. The reality star told Jenner she and Montana had "a great relationship" and that she "likes that [they] can still be friends."
