Tyra Banks shares first photo of newborn son York on Instagram

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 15 (UPI) -- Tyra Banks shared the first photo of her newborn son York on social media.

Posted to Instagram Sunday on Valentines Day, the snap features the photogenic supermodel holding baby York close to her chest wrapped tight around a towel.

The America's Next Top Model host announced the birth of York via a surrogate in January with her boyfriend of two years Erik Asla.

"This is the Happiest Valentine's Day of my life," Banks captioned the photo. "York, Daddy @erikasla and I send you so much love."

Banks also took to Instagram when she announced the birth of York and thanked the woman who carried him through child birth.

"The best present we worked and prayed so hard for is finally here," she wrote at the time alongside a photo of a baby cap. "He's got my fingers and big eyes and his daddy Erik's mouth and chin. As we thank the angel of a woman that carried our miracle baby boy for us, we pray for everyone who struggles to reach this joyous milestone. York Banks Asla, welcome to the world."

In a separate post, Asla said, "Witnessing the dawn of life is quite possibly life's greatest gift."
