Lady Gaga gets tattoo of David Bowie on rib cage

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 15 (UPI) -- Along with performing a tribute to the late David Bowie at this year's Grammys, Lady Gaga got a tattoo of the legendary rock star.

The 29-year-old pop star posted several Snapchat photos documenting herself getting inked up at Shamrock Social Club in West Hollywood, Calif. early Sunday Morning.

Bowie died on Jan. 10 at age 69 after a battle with cancer.

After a job well done by the parlor's artist Mark Mahoney, the "Poker Face" singer's rib-cage now features Bowie's 1973 album, Aladdin Sane's cover photo.

Gaga joined Snapchat on Feb. 7 and is ready taking the new app by storm.

"This was the image that changed my life," Gaga captioned one photo that featured a copy of the image alongside traces of her tattoo.

Anyone who's seen Gaga knows that this isn't her first (nor second) piece of body art.

Entertainment Tonight, reported that the artist also has an array others including a trumpet, roses and a "monster claw."

"Hail Mary full of grace Saint Bowie," she titled another image that featured her laying down as Mahoney worked on here side.

This decision may have been on the singer's mind since Bowie's death last month. Gaga even posted a photo of the legend on her Instagram Saturday.

Gaga will be taking the stage at the Grammy's to honor the "Ziggy Stardust" singer on Feb. 15.
