LOS ANGELES, Feb. 4 (UPI) -- Lily Collins and Nick Jonas are just friends, according to her dad, singer Phil Collins.

Some media linked the 26-year-old actress and 23-year-old actor this week following a ski trip to Mammoth Mountain, but Phil Collins denied in an interview with Yahoo! that the pair are romantically involved.

"[I'm] not sure what Nick looks like," Phil said. "But Lily called me the other day and she was in Mammoth where all this was happening. I'm here with a friend, she told me, and said it's not serious. It's just friends."

Lily Collins and Jonas hit the slopes in Mammoth in late January after spending "the night laughing together" at a bowling alley the week before. One source told Us Weekly, "Nick really likes Lily," while another said, "Nick's single and having fun. Right now it's not exclusive."

"It's new," an insider told People magazine. "They just started to hang out. It's casual, but they like each other." The pair have been friends for years.

Lily Collins was last linked to actor Chris Evans, who played coy about the rumors in April. Jonas, meanwhile, caused a stir by addressing his relationship with actress Kate Hudson in the new, February/March issue of Complex.

"Kate's incredible," he gushed. "Out of my best effort to respect her and her privacy, I'm not going to say if we had sex or not. But we did have a beautiful connection. Even now I have so much admiration and respect. She's amazing."

Collins is known for Mirror, Mirror and The Moral Instruments: City of Bones and will next appear in How to Be Single with Dakota Johnson. Jonas came to fame with the boy band Jonas Brothers and has since starred on Kingdom and Scream Queens.
