LOS ANGELES, Feb. 4 (UPI) -- Coco Austin showed off daughter Chanel's newly-pierced ears Wednesday on Instagram. The 36-year-old television personality shared a photo of the 2-month-old infant wearing tiny, sparkling studs, writing, "Guess who got their ears pierced today." She followed up by posting a close-up with the caption, "Portrait of a happy baby."

Chanel's new look comes amid concern about parents piercing young children's ears. British television personality Katie Price was roundly criticized for piercing 18-month-old daughter Bunny's ears this week, and defended her decision on Loose Women.
Austin, who previously told E! News she hoped to have a daughter so she can have "a personal doll," welcomed Chanel with husband Ice-T on Nov. 28. The television personality recounted her daughter's birth in a blog post last week.
"I did everything possible to look good [before the birth]," she wrote. "I want Chanel to look at [photos] and go mommy looked very happy and put together when she walked in the hospital. Not a mom who is out of control with her hair pulled up."
"When Chanel came out, I started crying," the star said. "She was so perfect. You put so much drama into your head for nine months and that moment when you see a full, healthy baby, you say thank god! I was crying."
Austin and Ice-T married in 2001, and the 57-year-old actor is also father to 39-year-old daughter LeTesha and 23-year-old son Tracy Morrow, Jr. The couple starred on three seasons of E! reality series Ice Loves Coco, which last aired in 2013.
