Hugh Jackman on 20-year marriage with Deborra-Lee Furness: 'it gets better and better'

BURBANK, Calif., Feb. 2 (UPI) -- Actor Hugh Jackman says his longtime marriage to actress Deborra-Lee Furness continues to improve as years pass.

Having been married for 20 years, Jackman told television host Ellen DeGeneres Monday his marriage "gets better and better" with time.

"She and I met before [I got famous]," the 47-year-old Eddie the Eagle actor explained of his 60-year-old partner. "It was my first job and it was...obviously, she's the greatest thing that ever happened to me, and it gets better and better."

"I'm kind of really grateful that I met [her] before anything kind of happened in my career and on-screen, off-screen, we've always done it together," he said.

The couple met on-set of the Australian television series Correlli 21 years ago, the actor continued. "She was the star, I had this major crush on her -- Everyone did," he said. The couple has two kids, Oscar Jackman, 15, and Ava Jackman, 10.
