Nina Williams joins the fight in 'Tekken 7: Fated Retribution'

LAS VEGAS, Jan. 27 (UPI) -- Tekken series regular Nina Williams has been confirmed to join the latest entry in the long-running fighting game series, Tekken 7: Fated Retribution.

Publisher Namco Bandai made the announcement Tuesday as part of their reveal that Tekken 7 would be a featured game at this year's EVO fighting game tournament.

In a new gameplay trailer featuring Nina using her signature moves against Bryan Fury, fans got their first look at her new "Fatal Bride" costume, a change from her usual purple military attire.

"To celebrate the Tekken presence at EVO, Nina Williams, the cold-blooded Irish assassin, has been announced as the new character for Tekken 7: Fated Retribution and Tekken 7 Console Version!," reads the trailer's description.

A solid release date for the title has yet to be announced. The original version of Tekken 7 launched in Japanese arcades in 2015 with the console version, Fated Retribution getting announced back in October. The console version of the title will feature new content and new characters like Nina Williams not seen in the original version.
