BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Jan. 27 (UPI) -- Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Eileen Davidson revealed she blamed herself for her abuse during two separate relationships in the past.

Speaking with host Jenny McCarthy on her SiriusXM radio show Dirty, Sexy, Funny on Tuesday, Davidson described the "cycle" associated with remaining in physically abusive romantic relationships as one deeply rooted in codependency.

"It's a feeling that you can't live without them, even if they hit you. It's like 'Oh maybe I did something to make this happen. It's me," the reality television personality said.

"I was so afraid of being alone I just had to have a boyfriend. I was very codependent. Extremely codependent. I would break up and then I would find a reason to put it on myself. 'He hit me because of this. I'm so sorry. I made you do that."

Davidson revealed she had been in two abusive relationships in her past -- one during her teenage years, and another during her twenties.
