CHATTANOOGA, Tenn., Jan. 20 (UPI) -- Maci Bookout and boyfriend Taylor McKinney are engaged. The 24-year-old Teen Mom OG star confirmed the news Tuesday on Instagram, writing, "Well y'all, my best friend asked me to marry him! I'm one lucky lady, I love you T! @tmon3yyy."

"I honestly don't think it has actually hit me yet," Bookout told MTV News. "But I am very excited and feel super blessed that I get to marry Taylor. He's an amazing man and dad."
Bookout and McKinney have been together since 2012, and share 8-month-old daughter Jayde. The reality star said her beau proposed after tricking her into thinking she was doing an interview for MTV.com on Venice Beach.
"When he asked me to marry him, I was in complete shock," she shared. "I couldn't believe that it was actually happening, and to be honest, I couldn't believe that he had pulled it off without me figuring it out...because I usually know everything!"
Bookout is also mother to 7-year-old son Bentley with ex-fiancé Ryan Edwards. The reality star said her son was "shocked and emotional" about the engagement, telling her he was "just so happy" McKinney is "finally going to be his stepdad."
Bookout's co-stars Farrah Abraham, Catelynn Lowell and Amber Portwood were on hand to congratulate the couple after McKinney's proposal. Abraham told Us Weekly the group "all hugged and embraced" the pair while filming the show's forthcoming reunion.
"It was very fitting and great to catch their memories for everyone to see," Abraham said. "I look forward to supporting their engagement and look forward to their wedding ... Hopefully this engagement luck rubs off on me as I'm the only single lady left."
