LOS ANGELES, Jan. 11 (UPI) -- Jamie Lee Curtis brought a special date to the 2016 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday.
The 57-year-old actress and her 29-year-old daughter Annie Guest attended the annual awards ceremony, where Curtis was nominated for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy for Scream Queens.
Curtis and her daughter wore contrasting black and white ensembles, but sported matching grey hair. Guest told Yahoo! she was "having a lot of fun" at the event, adding, "[I'm] just really happy to be here supporting my mom."
Guest is the daughter of Curtis and director Christopher Guest, who married in 1984. The couple are also parents to 19-year-old Thomas, while Curtis herself is the daughter of the late Psycho actress Janet Leigh and Some Like It Hot actor Tony Curtis.
"I'm one of those people who does a lot of things," Curtis told reporters in 2010. "I do as much charity work as I can and that my family life with allow. I do believe charity begins at home and the more we focus on our families, the better they will be."
"There comes a point when you'd like to do movies that your kids can see," she added. "I don't want to do anything particularly dark. I have to navigate already that both my kids are going to see things that I did when I was younger that I wouldn't like them to see today. Not because I'm ashamed of it, on any level whatsoever, but because they're my children."
Curtis played Cathy Munsch on Fox series Scream Queens, and lost to Rachel Bloom in Crazy Ex-Girlfriend at the ceremony. The actress will next star in the action-comedy movie Spychosis with Eileen Davidson and John Savage.
