The 36-year-old actor revealed as much while promoting 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert this week. Kraskinski gained significant muscle to play Jack Silva in the forthcoming movie.
"She hates it," he said of the 32-year-old English actress. "She would way prefer to have doughy guy back." The star clarified he meant "sweet-face[d]" after Colbert tempered that "doughy is a strong word."
Krasinski is best known for playing mild-mannered Jim Halpert on NBC series The Office, and significantly transformed for 13 Hours. He debuted his new look on the January/February cover of Men's Health magazine after four months of intensive training.
"Getting stronger every day is thrilling," he admitted in the article. "I think there's a part of you where you become addicted to it. I love feeling strong. You pick your daughter up with ease while everyone else makes a little grunt when they pick up their kids."
Kraskinski and Blunt married in July 2010, and welcomed their first child, daughter Hazel, in February 2014. The couple told Entertainment Tonight in August they'd like to have more children, joking they've "got to give [Hazel] some competition at some point."
13 Hours dramatizes the 2012 Benghazi attack, and opens in theaters Jan. 15. Krasinski is also slated for The Hollars with Anna Kendrick, while Blunt will star in The Huntsman: Winter's War with Chris Hemsworth and The Girl on the Train with Rebecca Ferguson.
