LOS ANGELES, Jan. 5 (UPI) -- Future accused ex-fiancée Ciara of barring access to their son Future on Monday.

The 32-year-old rapper, born Nayvadius Wilburn, criticized the 30-year-old singer in a series of tweets over visitation rights to their 19-month-old toddler, Future Zahir Wilburn.

"This [expletive] got control problems," he wrote. "I gotta go through lawyers to see babyfuture...the [expletive] for 15k a month. I jus want babyfuture that's all. I been silent for a year & a half..I ran outta patience."

Future and Ciara had been together about a year when the singer announced her pregnancy in January 2014. The couple welcomed son Future in May of that year, but ended their engagement three months later amid rumors the rapper cheated.

Future's criticism follows word Ciara and boyfriend Russell Wilson enjoyed their first Christmas together with baby Future. The singer and 27-year-old Seattle Seahawks quarterback have been linked since spring 2015, and shared sweet posts over the holidays.

"Kinda like had the best Christmas ever.. Theme: Love, happiness, gratefulness, and family. Nothing can amount to the value of those gifts," Ciara captioned a photo of herself with Wilson. "God sent me an angel!! @Ciara #HappyNewYear," the NFL star later added.
