Amy Schumer doesn't see marriage, kids in her future

NEW YORK, Dec. 18 (UPI) -- Amy Schumer isn't sure if marriage and children are in her future.

The 34-year-old actress revealed as much to Barbara Walters in an interview for the 86-year-old television personality's Most Fascinating People of 2015 special. Schumer is aunt to her young niece Ida, but said she may never have a family of her own.

"I would love those things, but I don't really see it for myself," she shared. "I hope that happens, but I don't know how realistic it is ... [In 10 years] I want to be expressing myself creatively somehow, as a director or producer."

Schumer, who has dated wrestler Dolph Ziggler and comedian Anthony Jeselnik, told ChicoER in July she is open to marriage but wouldn't want to have a wedding. She marveled about her career to the Guardian the next month, saying she "never dreamed" of achieving such success.

The actress was named one of Time magazine's Most Influential People of 2015 in April, and made Walters' list along with Caitlyn Jenner and Tracy Morgan. Her feature film debut, Trainwreck, which she also wrote, was a critical and financial success following its release this year.

Schumer came to fame on NBC reality competition Last Comic Standing, and went on to land her own Comedy Central show, Inside Amy Schumer. The sketch comedy series premiered in 2013, and will return for a fourth season in spring 2016.
