NEW YORK, Dec. 17 (UPI) -- Azealia Banks was reportedly arrested early Wednesday morning for allegedly assaulting a security guard in New York.
The 24-year-old rapper was part of a dispute with security at the Up&Down night club in the city's Meatpacking District, Page Six reports. The incident occurred when Banks was allegedly denied access to a private party at first because she did not have a stamp.
Banks is said to have spit on, punched and bit a female bouncer in the breasts before being escorted away by police officers after a loud discussion. The outlet says Banks was released on her own recognizance later that day.
The artist has not yet commented on the recent arrest.
The arrest comes not long after Banks was part of another public disturbance on a plane in September. The rapper was recorded arguing with an airline employee over her luggage and uttering homophobic slurs. She allegedly also spit on the employee and clawed on his shirt before exiting the plane.
