LOS ANGELES, Dec. 15 (UPI) -- Newlyweds Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello made their red carpet debut as a married couple during the Star Wars: The Force Awakens premiere in Los Angeles. Vergara attended the Monday night event wearing an elegant, form-fitting black dress complete with dangling earrings and golden sandals.

The Modern Family star also paid tribute to the sci-fi epic with a Princess Leia inspired curly hairdo.
Manganiello kept things classy with a slick, navy blue suit with matching tie and a white collared shirt. The happy couple appeared smitten with each other on the red carpet as they stuck close together both wearing their new wedding rings.
Vergara and Manganiello tied the knot in November during a lavish ceremony near Palm Beach, Fla.
Other memorable moments from the premiere included star Carrie Fisher arriving with her daughter Billie Lourd, actor John Boyega channeling the force with his one black glove, and franchise directors George Lucas and J.J Abrams hanging out on the red carpet together.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens nationwide Dec. 18.
