LOS ANGELES, Dec. 11 (UPI) -- The Golden Globes official Twitter account is facing heat after it confused actress America Ferrera with Gina Rodriguez.

During Thursday's nominee announcements, attended by the former Ugly Betty actress, the awards account tagged Rodriguez in a tweet attached to a photo of Ferrera. In another post, the Globes reportedly tagged the absent TV star again in place of Ferrera.

".@HereIsGina is kicking off the @goldenglobes nominations announcements," the official Twitter account is reported to have posted before promptly deleting and correcting the mistake.

"The @goldenglobes noms are about to start!" another since-deleted post tagging Rodriguez in place of Ferrera read.

In response to the awkward mixup, Jane The Virgin actress Rodriguez, who is also nominated for an award, didn't see it as a problem. "I didn't hear anything until recently someone sent me an article, but who cares?" she told Entertainment Tonight. "America's lovely...If there's' anybody I want to get mixed up with, it's her for sure.

On Twitter, Rodriguez didn't seem phased by the mis-tagging, but instead expressed her feelings over the nomination. "Speechless gratitude," she wrote in a brief post.
