NEW YORK, Dec. 9 (UPI) -- Lindsay Lohan recently went nude for No Tofu magazine.

The 29-year-old actress landed the publication's winter issue cover, her first high-fashion gig of the year. Photographer Ellen von Unwerth shot the cover and accompanying spread on the Greek island of Mykonos.

Lohan, who has struggled with drug and alcohol abuse and legal troubles in recent years, has largely kept out of the spotlight. She started filming her first movie in two years, The Shadow Within, in November.

The Mean Girls actress said she is comfortable posing nude when she went naked for Playboy magazine's January/February 2012 issue. She told the publication that being at ease with her body is "an important thing for [her] as a woman."

"Sex and sexuality are a part of nature, and I go along with nature," she shared. "Knowing yourself and your body is so important because it gives you confidence, and in life, women need confidence."

Lohan last starred in The Canyons with James Deen, and has since guest starred on Eastbound & Down and 2 Broke Girls. She made a surprise appearance at Duran Duran's concert Tuesday in London, performing "Dancephobia" with the band.
