"I was just talking to Goldie last night," he told host Tracey Edmonds. "I said, 'I should really have a fun thing to say.' I have none. They trot that one out every four or five years, now that we're 400 years old. No, unfortunately, for those that need to hear yes, I do not have good news."

Russell and Hawn looked the happy couple later in the day when they attended the Los Angeles premiere of The Hateful Eight, starring Russell. The actress gushed about her longtime love after the event, tweeting, "I loved the movie #HatefulEight and kurt is still my heartthrob!"

"A lasting relationship isn't about marriage," she previously told Porter magazine. "It's about compatibility and communication. And you both need to want it to work. If one person does not want it to work, it isn't going to work. Intention is the key."
