LOS ANGELES, Dec. 5 (UPI) -- Actor Robert Loggia has died at his home in Los Angeles after five years with Alzheimer's disease. He was 85.

Audrey, Loggia's wife of 33 years, confirmed his death to The Hollywood Reporter Friday.

The New York native was nominated for an Oscar for his performance in 1985's Jagged Edge. His other film credits include S.O.B., An Officer and a Gentleman, Psycho II, Scarface, Prizzi's Honor, Big and Innocent Blood.

Among his high-profile television appearances were T.H.E. Cat, A Woman Called Golda, Mancuso, F.B.I., and The Sopranos.
