NEW YORK, Dec. 2 (UPI) -- Gigi Hadid, Lily Aldridge and Joan Smalls recently went nude for Stuart Weitzman.

"So excited to be a part of the @StuartWeitzman SS16 campaign with @lilyaldridge and @joansmalls - shot by @mariotestino," Hadid wrote. "Best shoes, best team, best day - clearly NOTHING else is needed ;) xx #inourshoes."

Stuart Weitzman issued a press release explaining the trio were chosen because of their "social relevance" and "fashion-forward trendsetter statuses." The company said the campaign aimed to capture a "relaxed, effortless and chic" version of "sexy."

"The quintessential girls-next-door, Gigi, Joan and Lily personify the confidence, empowerment, beauty and ease of women wearing Stuart Weitzman shoes," the brand lauded. "The fact that the girls are friends made them the ideal casting choice for the campaign."

"We are all friends me, Gigi and Joan," Aldridge told E! News. "I just love our friendship; our camaraderie. we joke around and goof around. We can be girls and have fun and do our dream job together. It's so nice to have girls [where] you support each other."
