NEW YORK, Nov. 16 (UPI) -- Charlie Sheen will be making a "revealing personal announcement" Tuesday during The Today Show.

NBC News made the announcement Monday stating that Sheen will be making his announcement during a sit-down interview with Matt Lauer.

Sheen has remained largely out of the spotlight since his most recent comedy sitcom Anger Management was not picked up for a third season by FX back in 2014. In October of that year, Sheen and adult film star Brett Rossi ended their eight-month engagement.

Although the actor has yet to confirm what he will be announcing, TMZ reports that sources close to The Today Show have revealed to the website that Sheen will be revealing to the world that he is HIV positive.

People also reports this news with an interview with Hollywood publicist and crisis manager Howard Bragman.
