LOS ANGELES, Nov. 16 (UPI) -- Kim Kardashian recently discussed her high-risk pregnancy, saying she's been told by doctors that she might have to have a hysterectomy following the birth of her son.
The 35-year-old reality star, who is due in December, shared her fears about her upcoming delivery in an interview with E! News published Monday.
"Every medical issue that you could probably have I feel like I get and I worry so much about it," she said. "This pregnancy I have a little bit more anxiety just because I know what's to come and it's really inevitable some of the issues that I'm going to have."
Kardashian had a difficult time giving birth to her daughter North in 2013, experiencing preclampsia and placenta accreta. The delivery of her second child with singer Kanye West is considered a high-risk delivery, she said. She further detailed her struggles on her website, revealing she may need to undergo a hysterectomy after her son's birth.
"With the issues I had last time, my risk of having preclampsia and placenta acreeta are increased and there's not a whole lot I can do to prevent it," she wrote. "In a very rare case, I might need a hysterectomy after delivery if my condition is severe enough, but luckily my doctor doesn't think this will happen."
Kardashian and West welcomed North in June 2013, and announced they are expecting their second child in May. The reality star attended friend Tracy Nguyen Romulus' baby shower over the weekend, wearing a chic, camel-colored outfit.

Kardashian and her family gained fame on the E! series Keeping Up with the Kardashians, which returned for an 11th season on Sunday. Older sister Kourtney Kardashian was spotted with her ex-partner, Scott Disick, on Saturday for the first time since their July split.
