LOS ANGELES, Nov. 16 (UPI) -- Lionsgate has canceled a portion of Monday's premiere of "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay -- Part 2" in Los Angeles due to the Paris terrorist attacks.

The announcement on Sunday said that the event at the venue L.A. Live will mostly continue as scheduled but press interviews for the stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth or any others on the red carpet will not be allowed.

"Out of respect for the very recent events in Paris, we have decided to modify our red carpet and we will not conduct interviews at Monday's 'Mockingjay 2' premiere," Lionsgate studio said in a statement. "We will proceed with the rest of the event as planned in honor of the incredible fans who have always supported our films with such passion."

Part of the film, the final installment of the "Hunger Games" franchise, was filmed in Paris.

A plan has not been announced on what will happen at the New York premiere on Wednesday. The film opens nationwide on Friday.
