Linkle will be making her in-game debut as a playable character in Hyrule Warriors: Legends, a Legend of Zelda spinoff for the Nintendo 3DS where characters spanning the series 30 year history team up in order to defend the land of Hyrule and restore balance to the all-powerful Triforce.

"A new playable female character named Linkle enters the Zelda universe in #HyruleWarriors Legends," Nintendo of America tweeted alongside a photo of Linkle which highlighted her familiar, yet more feminine styled Link armor and green hood.

Other highlights from the Nintendo Direct include The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD being announced for the Nintendo Wii U, the first three Pokémon games - Red, Blue, and Yellow coming to the Nintendo eShop on Feb. 27 on the 3DS and a Wii U Deluxe Set bundle loaded with Super Smash Bros. and Splatoon will be arriving just in time for the holidays.
