SPRINGDALE , Ark., Nov. 12 (UPI) -- Reality television personality Jessa Duggar Seewald and her husband Ben Seewald finally revealed via social media the name of their first child.

The devoutly Christian couple -- who are known for their family's former docu-series 19 Kids and Counting -- have called their week-old son Spurgeon Elliot Seewald after 19th century preacher Charles Spurgeon and missionaries Jim and Elizabeth Elliot.

"We are very excited to introduce our little baby boy to the world," Jessa said Wednesday in a YouTube video, which she promoted on her Instagram account.

"His nickname has been Quincy since we first found out we were pregnant and we've been working on deciding on a name and we finally figured it out."

Standing next to his beaming wife, who was holding their snoozing infant, Ben continued the announcement.

"So, his name is Spurgeon Elliot Seewald and why we named him that is because Charles Spurgeon was a preacher that lived back in the 19th century and he had a big impact on our lives," Ben explained.

"He is a precious, little bundle of joy and we're so blessed to call him ours," Jessa said of the baby, who was 9 pounds, 11 ounces and 21-1/4 inches long when he was born Nov. 5.
