DANA POINT, Calif., Nov. 9 (UPI) -- John Stamos, 52, wants to have children.

The Full House actor opened up about his desire to have kids in an interview with People at the Goodwill Gala on Saturday. Stamos entered rehab in July after being charged with a D.U.I. in June, and said he's presently focused on himself.

"I've never had [children]," he told the magazine. "When the time is right, it'll happen. This year has been about clearing my head, being healthy and getting my career on track. I think everything will fall into place as long as I'm good, solid and spiritual."

Stamos and Rebecca Romijn were married from 1998 to 2005, and the actress shares 6-year-old twins with second husband Jerry O'Connell. Stamos joked to Us Weekly in September he wants to have kids so badly he can hear his "ovaries rattling."

The actor currently plays Jimmy, a restaurant owner who discovers he is both a father and a grandfather, on new Fox comedy Grandfathered. Stamos spent time with his young co-stars, 2-year-old twins Layla and Emelia Golfieri, at Disneyland on Friday.
