SYDNEY, Nov. 4 (UPI) -- Rebel Wilson opened up about why she refused to present a Video Music Award alongside Kylie Jenner and Kendall Jenner when asked to do so earlier this year.

During an interview with Kyle and Jackie O on KIIS FM Wednesday morning, the Pitch Perfect 2 actress, 35, said she refused not because she hates any particular member of the Kardashian-Jenner clan, but because "everything they stand for is against everything I stand for."

"They're not famous for talent," she said to the radio hosts. "I worked really hard to get where I've gotten to."

When asked why event officials would even ask Wilson to team up with the Jenner sisters, Wilson said she believed they were going to dress her as Kim Kardashian.

"I know they're super popular, but I'm all about personality and working hard to get to where I am," she said, according to People. "I mean how Kim Kardashian got famous from a sex tape and I just went to acting school and worked really hard."
