LOS ANGELES, Nov. 4 (UPI) -- Gwen Stefani opened up about her divorce from Gavin Rossdale on Tuesday. The 46-year-old American singer discussed her split from the 50-year-old English musician in an interview with On Air with Ryan Seacrest. Stefani filed to end her marriage in August, and the divorce was finalized in October.

"My life blew up in my face [in] February, the day after the Grammys," she revealed. "What I will tell you is that I was married for a long time and now I'm not, and it's a shock." The singer agreed with Seacrest that it was an "abrupt moment" that led to the breakup.
Stefani and Rossdale married in September 2002, and share three sons: 9-year-old Kingston, 7-year-old Zuma and 20-month-old Apollo. The singer has since been linked to country star and fellow The Voice judge Blake Shelton, who split from wife Miranda Lambert in July.
"I think NBC did that," she said of the dating rumors. "Two divorced people at the same time? I'm not going to answer that ... I think he's hot, don't you? But to be super honest, it is kind of crazy we both went through the same thing at the same time."
Stefani and Shelton cozied up at Halloween parties over the weekend, but the singer told Carson Daly she and the country star are "just trying to have fun" Monday. The Voice host said he wouldn't confirm the rumors "even if [he] knew] something" Wednesday on Today.
