NEW YORK, Oct. 22 (UPI) -- Kathie Lee Gifford honored late husband Frank Gifford at the couple's Broadcasting & Cable Hall of Fame induction ceremony Tuesday.

The 62-year-old television personality, her 25-year-old son Cody and 22-year-old daughter Cassidy paid tribute to the sports broadcasting legend at the event, which took place just over two months after Frank Gifford's death.

"I have to thank my incredible husband, who taught me so much, who was the most generous person I ever met," Gifford said in her acceptance speech. "I am truly the most blessed woman on the earth. I had 29 years with my incredible husband."

"More than anything, [Frank would] be thrilled that my children, our children, are here and that they are just the two nicest human beings you would ever meet in your life," she told Entertainment Tonight backstage. Cody and Cassidy accepted their dad's award on his behalf.

Frank Gifford died of natural causes at age 84 in August, and Gifford later revealed she and her family celebrated his life at a party, not a funeral. The sports commentator is also survived by his three children with first wife Maxine Ewart, Jeff, Kyle and Victoria.
