Jessa Duggar, husband celebrate at co-ed baby shower

HIGHFILL, Ark., Oct. 22 (UPI) -- Jessa Duggar and husband Ben Seewald celebrated at a co-ed baby shower last week.

Sources told Us Weekly the 22-year-old reality star and Seewald fêted the impending birth of their first child with more than 100 family members and friends. The couple filmed the party for Duggar's forthcoming TLC specials, Jill & Jessa: Counting On.

"They had a contest for the ladies in which they had to close their eyes and race to change a diaper on a baby doll," an insider told the magazine. "The final competition was one that Ben came up with. He and three of his friends had a contest to see who could make the best baby food."

"As the party came to a close, everyone gathered around Ben and Jessa and prayed over them as a couple and for the little one," the source added. "This was such a special time! ... It's hard for them to keep from saying 'him' or 'her.'"

Friends hosted the fall-themed celebration, which featured a pumpkin-themed dessert bar. Duggar and Seewald asked guests to bring a written prayer of blessing in lieu of gifts, and an insider told People magazine the reality star looked "adorable" and "absolutely flawless" at the fête.

"Sitting here dreaming about the moment when we will meet our little one face-to-face... and wondering if our baby will carry more Seewald or Duggar characteristics and features! I'm thinking #BabySeewald will be a sweet mix of the two of us!" Duggar wrote Thursday on Instagram.

Duggar and Seewald married in November 2014, and announced they are expecting in April. The reality star is now 38 weeks pregnant, and expects her child to be born Nov. 1, her first wedding anniversary. She last shared a baby bump update at 36 weeks pregnant.
