NEW YORK, Oct. 21 (UPI) -- The Backstreet Boys shocked attendees when they closed out the Balmain x H&M fashion show in New York City with a surprise performance on Tuesday.

The launch event for Balmain's new clothing line made in collaboration with H&M featured A-list models such as Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, Jourdan Dunn, Joan Smalls and Karlie Kloss, who were seen dancing and celebrating once The Backstreet Boys took the stage.

The longstanding boyband whose members include Kevin Richardson, Brian Littrell, AJ McLean, Nick Carter, and Howie Dorough performed their signature songs "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)," "I Want It That Way," and "Larger Than Life."

Balmain's creative director teased the surprise concert days before the fashion showcase promising that a "nostalgia" artist would be the musical keynote for the show.

Recently, Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter announced that he would be teaming up with Canadian rocker Avril Lavigne for an upcoming solo project while he competes on Dancing with the Stars.
