Report: Gina Rodriguez, boyfriend Henri Esteve split

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 22 (UPI) -- Jane the Virgin star Gina Rodriguez and boyfriend, Revenge actor Henri Esteve are no longer dating according to reports.

Sources confirmed the news of the split to People. Rodriguez and Esteve dated for over a year after meeting at a wrap party.

"Gina really cared for him. She is a sweet person with a prosperous career, but she has limited time and it was just a mutual split," says a source. "They are still friends and very realistic about relationships."

The Golden Globe winning actress best known for playing the titular character in Jane the Virgin, a romantic comedy-drama about a young woman who accidentally receives artificial insemination, previously spoke to Us Weekly about Esteve's reaction to her work on the show.

"When your super-tough Cuban boyfriend from Miami starts tearing up, you're like, "I'm doing something right," she said back in January.

Rodriguez fueled speculation about a possible breakup when she arrived to the Emmys solo. The 31-year-old dazzled on the red carpet arriving at the awards ceremony in a romantic pink, strapless beaded gown, studded with feathers. Later on in the night, Rodriguez presented an award with TV icon John Stamos.
