NEW YORK, Sept. 17 (UPI) -- Pop-star Katy Perry showed off her chameleon side Wednesday when she changed her hairstyle twice in one night.

The singer attended the Harper's Bazaar Icons party where Perry was first seen strutting the red carpet rocking a curled, dark-red hairstyle with a sparkling dress to match. The gown featured a thigh-high split which highlighted Perry's long and toned legs.

The 30-year-old also performed at the event singing some of her biggest hits including Roar, Teenage Dream and I Kissed a Girl which Perry dedicated to Mariah Carey telling the crowd "This song goes out to my fellow icon...Mimi!"

Perry's second hair transformation happened during the after party when she appeared in a short hot-pink wig along with an all-black dress highlighted by star studded leggings.

Earlier this month, Perry made headlines again when a video of the singer falling off a Segway during the Burning Man festival received over 500,000 likes on Instagram.

Also in September the pop sensation and designer Jeremy Scott each left their marks at Hollywood's Chinese Theater during a handprint ceremony.
