On hand to present her HSN Signature Statement Collection for the fall, the 33-year-old athlete spoke to USA Today about her loss to Roberta Vinci and how the show helped her cope with missing out on the Grand Slam title.
"I played the best I can play and she's never played better," Williams said before her show. "She just happened to bring her best game and there was nothing I could have done about it that day."
Williams was able to bounce back however after spending the weekend "sulking."
"But honestly, working on this show has really been a blessing because I've just been doing hair and makeup and nails and things you don't even think about. I worked on the music, which has been really, really cool. It's been keeping me busy and keeping me happy because I love fashion. Everyone knows I love fashion, so it's been really great."
Fringe and suede attire were prominently featured during the fashion show that featured a lot of skinny pants, short shorts and skirts modeled in neutral colors. The tennis champion herself sported an all black fringe skirt that highlighted her toned legs.
Williams' Signature Statement Collection is a partnership with HSN and manufacturer Tiger J.
"This collection is amazing," said Williams. "We really experimented with a lot of neutral colors. If you think about me I have a lot of pop. I want to experiment with (neutral colors), give a woman something she can really wear in her wardrobe, and be really fabulous with it."
In attendance along the runway was rumored beau Drake, aka Aubrey Drake Graham, who sat next to Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour. In August, Williams and Drake were spotted kissing hours after the tennis star won the Women's Tennis Associate tournament.
