LOS ANGELES, Sept. 11 (UPI) -- Taylor Swift congratulated younger brother Austin Swift on his first film role Wednesday.
The 25-year-old singer marked the occasion by sharing a photo of the 23-year-old actor on Instagram, writing, "My brother @austinkingsleyswift just acted in his first movie and I'm all proud and stuff."
Austin Swift will appear in an undisclosed role in the upcoming thriller I.T., starring Pierce Brosnan. The 62-year-old Irish star plays a businessman forced to defend his wife (Anna Friel) and daughter (Stefanie Scott) against a disgruntled tech consultant (James Frecheville).
Swift is the eldest of Scott Swift and Andrea Finlay's two children, and shares a close relationship with her brother. The singer references her sibling in her songs "The Best Day" and "Never Grow Up."
Swift last released 1989 in October 2014, and will complete her accompanying world tour of the same name Dec. 12 in Melbourne, Australia. The pop star recently surpassed Kim Kardashian's record number of Instagram followers, and is rumored for a guest spot on Law & Order: SVU.
