LOS ANGELES, Sept. 10 (UPI) -- Rob Kardashian has reportedly been working to lose weight ahead of his return to the spotlight.

"It's Kanye working his magic," an insider told the magazine. "He's been a great motivator for Rob. He told Rob how he got into shape after his accident and at time when he was down in his life." West was involved in a 2002 car crash that broke his jaw in three places.

Mom Kris Jenner revealed Kardashian has gained 100 pounds on Keeping Up with the Kardashians in April. The reality star kept out of the limelight in recent years, but has been posting on social media with increasing frequency amid word he is back on a fitness routine.

Sister Kim Kardashian revealed she and her brother went on the "hardest hike ever" in August, and Kardashian spotted half-sister Kylie Jenner and her beau Tyga on his run later that month. He shared a photo featuring his slimmed-down arms last week.
