Blanchett's 'Carol,' Johnny Depp's 'Black Mass' to headline London Film Festival

The festival runs Oct. 7 to Oct. 18.

LONDON, Sept. 1 (UPI) -- The British Film Institute has revealed the full lineup of features and shorts for this year's London Film Festival.

Among a total of 238 fiction features and documentaries are Cate Blanchett's Carol, Johnny Depp's Black Mass and Bryan Cranston's Trumbo. The festival will also include the European premier of Suffragette, starring Meryl Streep and Steve Jobs, directed by Slumdog Millionaire's Danny Boyle.

Ben Wheatley's High-Rise and Lance Armstrong drama, The Program will also be screened during the 59th annual festival, beginning Oct. 7.

Actors Meryl Streep, Michael Fassbender, Kate Winslet, Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Hiddleston and Colin Farrell are among those expected to attend this year's event. As previously reported, actress Cate Blanchett will receive the festival's highest honor of the BFI Fellowship.
