BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Aug. 14 (UPI) -- Comedian Anthony Jeselnik says he's happy for his ex Amy Schumer as they prepare to tour alongside each other for the Oddball Festival.

The 36-year-old Last Comic Standing host told Fox News that their romance between 2009 and 2011 -- before Schumer, 34, made it big -- was much like any other. "There was good and bad," he said. "If it was great, we would still be together. But we figured it out."

Schumer is set to headline the touring comedy festival with fellow comedian Aziz Ansari for the second year in a row. The festival will hit 18 cities and feature about 20 other comics, including Jeselnik.

"We are friends now. It's good," he said of his relationship with Schumer. "She has got the romantic comedy market cornered. I'm happy for her."
