Fantasia Barrino weds fiancé Kendall Taylor

CHARLOTTE, N.C., July 20 (UPI) -- Fantasia Barrino wed fiancé Kendall Taylor over the weekend.

The 31-year-old American Idol season 3 winner announced the news with a series of photos on Instagram. The couple had been engaged since November 2014, and married on a luxury yacht.

"Those who really know me know that I LOVE Water.. Can you see it? How Happy I am.. This Man.. God made him just for Me and me Just For Him," she captioned a picture of herself with Taylor. "This man and this smile is real..."

Barrino has two children from previous relationships, 13-year-old daughter Zion and 3-year-old son Dallas. Taylor is reportedly the COO of a courier company in the singer's home state of North Carolina.

Barrino released her first album, Free Yourself, following her American Idol win in 2004, and last debuted Side Effects of You in April 2013. The record peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, and includes the singles "Lose to Win" and "Without Me."
