Salma Hayek goes topless for Allure magazine

LOS ANGELES, July 15 (UPI) -- Salma Hayek recently went topless for Allure magazine.

The 48-year-old actress covers the publication's August issue, and stripped down for the inside spread. Hayek admitted she was initially apprehensive in a behind-the-scenes video, but took pride in her all-natural looks in the article.

"I got to work with the wonderful [photographer] Patrick Demarchelier, and he always tries to do the minimum clothes possible," she explained in the video. "I was very nervous and think I looked very uncomfortable in the beginning ... but at the end it looked really nice, very elegant."

Hayek told the magazine the worst beauty advice she ever received was to start Botox, saying, "When I was young, they tried to tell me on the idea: 'If you do it now, then you won't get the wrinkles.' And thank God I didn't do do that."

The star instead found confidence through her work and husband Francois-Henri Pinault, whom she married in February 2009. The couple share 7-year-old daughter Valentina, and Hayek said she and her family have never been apart for more than two weeks.

Hayek last appeared with Vincent Cassel in Italian fantasy film Tale of Tales, which sees her eat an oversized heart. The actress will star with Adrian Brody in an adaptation of Dalia Sofer novel Septembers of Shiraz, and voice a character in animated film Sausage Party.
