Ginnifer Goodwin debuts pastel hair at San Diego Comic-Con

SAN DIEGO, July 14 (UPI) -- Ginnifer Goodwin debuted pastel hair at San Diego Comic-Con.

The 37-year-old actress showed off her lilac locks at the Once Upon a Time panel, but told Us Weekly the change is only temporary and won't transfer to her character, Mary Margaret Blanchard, aka Snow White.

"[The color is just for me] in real life," she said. "Mary Margaret will still be brunette! I was copying my makeup artist. I was like, 'It's beautiful, I want that!' I've always loved gray, but I guess the key is lilac. It took eight hours of bleaching -- eight hours!"

Once Upon a Time subsequently shared photos of Goodwin and her co-stars at the panel on Twitter, including pictures of the actress and her husband, Josh Dallas, who portrays David Nolan, aka Prince Charming, on the series.

Once Upon a Time will return for a fifth season September 27. Goodwin is also known for playing Margene Heffman on HBO drama Big Love, and married Dallas in April 2014. The couple share son Oliver, and recently bought a $3.45 million mansion in Encino, Calif.
