LOS ANGELES, July 13 (UPI) -- Jessica Simpson shared a leggy photo from her birthday celebration Sunday.

The 35-year-old designer showed off her toned legs next to friends Lauren Harrison and Stephenie Pearson. Simpson celebrated her birthday in St. Barts, and posted several pictures from the getaway.

"I love these vacation babes @laurenz422 @stepheniepearson," she captioned the snapshot. Fans shared their admiration for Simpson's legs in the comments, with many naming the designer as their fitness inspiration.

"Working out and being active overall makes me a happier person to be around," the star told USA Today of her weight loss in 2013. "I need to feel comfortable in my own skin. People are going to pick me apart no matter what I do."

Many were offended, however, by Simpson's photo of herself wearing a feathered headdress, which was posted amid rising concern about cultural appropriation. Actress Amandla Stenberg slammed reality star Kylie Jenner over the weekend for wearing her hair in cornrows.

Simpson and husband Eric Johnson, a 35-year-old retired NFL player, are parents to three-year-old daughter Maxwell, and celebrated son Ace's second birthday June 30. The designer has her eighth album in the works, and continues to oversee her Jessica Simpson Collection fashion line.
