LOS ANGELES, July 9 (UPI) -- Brittney Palmer's husband, Aaron Zalewski, was arrested for her attempted murder in June.

The 28-year-old UFC ring girl and her husband allegedly got into an altercation after Zalewski overheard a casting agent call Palmer "babe" on the phone at their Los Angeles home June 11.

TMZ reports Zalewski, an investment analyst, threw his wife into a bedpost as they wrestled for her phone, which she was using to record the argument. He is said to have pinned her face against the mattress for two minutes after telling her to leave their house.

Palmer claimed her husband began to self-harm and yelled, "Why are you making me do this? I just wanted you to love me." The ring girl was able to escape and call police, who arrested Zalewski for attempted murder, spousal battery and criminal threats.

Zalewski was released on $1 million bail the next day, and the LA City Attorney has yet to file charges. Palmer has not explicitly addressed the incident, but tweeted, "Smile and let everyone know that you're a lot stronger than you were yesterday," last week.
