Mariah Carey cozies up to new beau James Packer

CANNES, France, June 24 (UPI) -- Mariah Carey cozied up to new beau James Packer this week.

The 45-year-old American singer was spotted holding hands with the 47-year-old Australian businessman in Capri, Italy, and later shared photos with Packer from Cannes, France.

"Fun moments in #cannes #danawalden #jamespacker @briangrazer #edenroc," she captioned one such picture Tuesday on Instagram.

Sources told People the pair are "enjoying spending time with each other," and said the "brand new" relationship has "been bubbling for a couple months." The couple were first linked last week.

Packer is the son of late media tycoon Kerry Packer, and worth an estimated $4.7 billion. He and second wife Erica Baxter separated in September 2013, and have three children together: six-year-old Indigo, five-year-old Jackson and two-year-old Emmanuelle.

Carey's new romance comes five months after husband Nick Cannon officially filed for divorce. The couple separated after six years of marriage in 2014, and are parents to four-year-old fraternal twins Monroe and Moroccan.
