LOS ANGELES, June 23 (UPI) -- The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced its 2016 Hollywood Walk of Fame honorees Monday.
Actor Bradley Cooper, singer-songwriter Bruno Mars and director Quentin Tarantino are among the 29 entertainment industry figures who will be honored with stars on the iconic sidewalk stretch next year.
"After much deliberation, we feel that we have selected a great group of talent for this coveted award," selection committee chairwoman Maureen Schultz said. "Fans from around the world will be thrilled to hear that their favorite celebrities will be honored on our world-famous Hollywood Walk of Fame."
The Walk of Fame stretches along 17 blocks of Hollywood Blvd. and Vine St. in Los Angeles, and includes more than 2,500 stars. The plaques honor achievements in motion pictures, broadcast television, audio recording and music, broadcast radio, and theater/live performance.
2016 Hollywood Walk of Fame honorees:
Steve Carell, Bradley Cooper, Ashley Judd, Michael Keaton, Kurt Russell, Quentin Tarantino and Toshiro Mifune for their contributions to film.
Barbara Bain, Kathy Bates, Roma Downey, David Duchovny, Allison Janney, Rob Lowe, Debra Messing, Tracy Morgan, Gary Sinise and William S. Paley for their contributions to television.
Shirley Caesar, LL Cool J, Cyndi Lauper, Adam Levine, Bruno Mars, Joseph B. 'Joe' Smith, Itzhak Perlman and 'Mama' Cass Elliot for their contributions to music.
Ralph Lawler for his contributions to radio.
Angelica Maria, Harvey Fierstein and Kevin Hart for their contributions to theater/live performance.
