LOS ANGELES, June 20 (UPI) -- U.S. recording artist Mariah Carey is reportedly dating Australian billionaire James Packer. TMZ published a photo of Carey, 45, and Packer, 47, smiling as they strolled together through Capri, Italy, on Friday. They are staying on Packer's yacht and plan to head to Cannes and St. Tropez after they leave Capri.

The entertainment news website cited unnamed sources as saying Carey's close friend, filmmaker Brett Ratner, introduced her to Packer after which Packer pursued Carey for months, finally winning her over.
It was unclear precisely when the two began dating.
Carey separated from entertainer Nick Cannon -- her husband of six years -- in 2014. They are the parents of 4-year-old twins, a son and a daughter.
