LOS ANGELES, June 18 (UPI) -- Divorcing movie stars Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith have sold their Los Angeles estate for $15.95 million 10 days after they listed it for $16.1 million on the open market.

The estranged couple bought the 1920s-built, 15,110-square-foot mansion in 1999 for $4.2 million, then purchased the property next door for $1.3 million in 2000.

Variety reported the sale of the entire estate this week set a record for a purchase in the posh Hancock Park neighborhood. The highest price previously paid for a single-family home in the district was the $11 million a financial services industry executive spent last July.

Amenities for the former Griffith-Banderas abode include seven bedrooms, a grand entry, double-height banquet hall, formal dining room with coffered ceiling, paneled library, a two-story kitchen, recording studio, fitness room and pool. Although the buyer's name has not been confirmed, it is rumored to be a high-ranking Netflix official, Variety said.
